Here is a good PSA for employers regarding ICE officers showing up at your workplace with a warrant.

ICE may not enter non-public places of employment unless they have employer consent or a judicial warrant. A judicial (court) warrant is different than an administrative (ICE) warrant. An example of both is provided below.

ICE may not demand access to an employer's I-9 or personnel files immediately. If a subpoena is served, contact an attorney. I-9 audits do not happen without notice.

Employers may not treat employees differently based on perceived national origin (i.e. change schedules or assignments in response to ICE presence or activity).

Employers should be familiar with the differences between a warrant issued by a federal Court and an administrative (ICE) warrant.

Allebest Law Group PLLC has filed suit against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other federal agencies on behalf of a Deaf man who was seriously injured during an enforcement encounter.

The lawsuit alleges that federal officers failed to provide effective communication and reasonable accommodations, resulting in preventable harm. Deaf individuals are entitled to the same constitutional protections and dignity as anyone else—especially when interacting with law enforcement.

This case is about accountability, accessibility, and the rule of law.

No one should be injured because the ICE agents are not trained on how to communicate with individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

We are proud to stand with our client and to advocate for the civil rights of the Deaf community.
