Blue Diamond is the second highest category awarded and it’s the second straight year the firm has qualified for this prestigious category. Carmel & Naccasha Attorney Brooks J. Hollister won three separate trials recently for a client seeking assistance in obtaining Elder Abuse Restraining Orders. The client, a family member of the victim and acting under a Durable Power of Attorney, felt the victim was being financially taken advantage of by other members of the family, and contacted Carmel & Naccasha for legal assistance. Hollister filed three separate requests for Elder Abuse Restraining Orders, which, after trial, resulted in each being granted for a period of three years. The court further requested Hollister file a petition for fees against the Defendants.

Mr. Hollister, who focuses his practice on estate planning, probate, estate and trust litigation, conservatorships and business transactions, was supported throughout the trial by a team of paralegals, legal assistants and file room staff.

Carmel & Naccasha is a proud sponsor for the Sheep Shearing Shindig this Saturday, May 4 to benefit City Farm SLO. City Farm SLO is located at 1221 Calle Joaquin, behind the car dealerships. This free event is from noon to 4 p.m. with sheep shearing from 12:30-2:00.

The family event includes activities such as kids games and activities, music, a hayride, farm to table food and much more. City Farm SLO promotes health, success, and environmental stewardship through farm-based education, especially for at-risk and under-served youth. The farm is a model for regenerative and sustainable agricultural practices, seeking to improve the long-erm health and productivity of farm land.

Victor Herrera, a Partner with the law offices of Carmel & Naccasha, has assumed the role of President of the California Central Coast Estate Planning Council for the 2026-27 term. Victor leads the firm’s Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning practice.

At Carmel & Naccasha, Victor assists clients with a variety of matters, including conservatorship, guardianship, estate planning, trust administration, and probate. Victor’s practice also includes acting as court appointed Guardian ad Litem on behalf of proposed conservatees, or beneficiaries of estates, and advising individuals appointed Guardian ad Litem.

The California Central Coast Estate Planning Council, co-founded by Victor in 2024, is affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. The National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) focuses on establishing and monitoring the highest professional and educational standards. Through their membership in CCCEPC, participants can fulfill the requirement of belonging to an affiliated local estate planning council to become an accredited Estate Planner (AEP) designee.

In addition to his service with CCCEPC, Victor serves on the Board of Central Coast Parks Association, is Immediate Past President of San Luis Daybreak Rotary, is on the Board of The Foundation at Hearst Castle, and recently stepped down as a Board member of the Conference of California Bar Associations.
