🎃 A HUGE shoutout to our amazing “Boo Crew”! 👻

Our staff have been working hard over the past several weeks to bring our Haunted Hallway to life for the 20th Anniversary of the Almaden Community Center/ Library & Harvest Festival this Saturday, October 17! 🕸️ (Not everyone is pictured!)

A very special THANK YOU to Teresa for leading this incredible team and helping make one of the festival’s biggest attractions extra special — and extra spooky! 👏🖤 The creativity, teamwork, and dedication our staff have poured into this experience truly deserves the spotlight!

And this year, they’ve taken things up a notch! 👀 We’ve expanded the Haunted Hallway to create an even scarier experience, and we can’t wait for you to see what our Boo Crew has been brewing!

🎃🍂 Fall Fun at Emma Prusch Farm! 🐐🚜

Last week, the San Jose Recreation Preschool @ Almaden families enjoyed a fun field trip to Emma Prusch Farm Park! 🌾 We had a private tour of the vegetable garden, got up close with the farm animals, and enjoyed a fun hayride through the farm that ended at a pumpkin patch! 🎃

The fun continued with yummy snacks, exciting games, and decorating our very own pumpkins to take home! 🧡🍁 It was a beautiful day filled with learning, laughter, and special memories shared with family and friends.

A big THANK YOU to Emma Prusch Farm Park for welcoming us and making our visit so memorable! 💛

Keeping Our Older Adults Informed & Protected

Today at Almaden Community Center, participants in our Senior Nutrition Program received an Elder Fraud & Public Safety briefing presented by The 229 Association.
The presentation focused on recognizing financial scams, identifying common warning signs, and sharing practical tips to help older adults protect themselves from fraud.
