Deborah, Allison and Max enjoyed reconnecting with current and former board members of San Diego Inn of Court during its 50th Anniversary celebration. Deborah and Allison are both past presidents of San Diego Inn of Court, and Deborah and Max currently serve on the board of directors. Deborah was honored by the American Association for Justice (AAJ) with the "Above and Beyond" award for her commitment to AAJ and its mission to pursue justice. The Dixon Firm once again sponsored "Just the Beginning San Diego's Summer Legal Institute." Just the Beginning is dedicated to increasing diversity in the legal field, ensuring that future lawyers and judges reflect the backgrounds and perspectives of the community. It hosts education on the legal profession for diverse groups of students in cities across the country. This year's program in San Diego hosted 50 high school students teaching about the legal profession and civic engagement, ending with a reception at the federal court.
