Tommy Vu was recently featured on CBS 8 San Diego, providing insight on the aftermath of the deadly panga boat capsize in Del Mar. Eight survivors were released without criminal charges but are expected to serve as material witnesses against the defendants. “They’re not being charged as defendants because they’re not being accused of committing a crime,” Vu explained.

Meet Gabrielle, our newest Paralegal at Stitt Vu Trial Lawyers!

Born and raised in San Diego, Gabrielle graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 2016 and earned her B.A. in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Legal Studies from CSU Stanislaus in 2021. During the summer of 2020, she served as a judicial intern for Judge Francis Tydingco Gatewood at the District Court of Guam.

Immediately after college, Gabrielle began her career at LPL Financial, where she investigated trades after death violations committed by financial advisors. In 2023, she re-enrolled in school to pursue her paralegal certificate and degree at San Diego Miramar College while working full-time.

In 2024, Gabrielle entered James Harris Law, PLLC, as a Case Manager where she worked on a case supporting Boy Scouts of America sexual abuse survivors and veterans, along with their loved ones, take action against Camp Lejeune for toxic water consumption.

Since February 2025, Gabrielle has been an integral part of the team. She has always dreamed of a career in criminal law and enjoys the variety of cases we handle. She works closely with our clients and attorneys to help ensure everything runs smoothly.

Outside of work, Gabrielle enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog Oliver, learning pickleball, and hopes to take up pottery soon!

Our client was rear-ended by another vehicle while stopped at a red light in broad daylight. Although police did not arrive on scene, and there was no documentation of it, our client smelled alcohol from the other driver’s breath. We used this to our advantage by negotiating a favorable settlement. Way to go!
