Every week I go through the homes for sale in Chico and find the one buyers are paying the most attention to, based on saves compared to homes its age. This week, one home made that easy.

The homes we checked on Zillow averaged 31 saves. This home has 70 saves and 878 views. That is 128% above the average. Something about this one is catching people's eyes.

Chico prices are not moving as one market.

In the three months ending July 31, 2026, 95926 was down 5.2% while 95928 was up 6%, according to the Real Estate Data Aggregator. That is a big gap inside one city. The 2.6% national price gain from July 2025 to July 2026, reported by the Federal Housing Finance Agency, fits neither one very well.

That is why citywide or national headlines can miss what matters most. Your ZIP code, and even your street, can tell a different story.

Every week I look through the homes for sale in Chico and find the one buyers are paying the most attention to for a home its age. This week that home pulled 73 saves and 1,063 views on Zillow.

To put that in perspective, the homes we checked averaged 38 saves. This one came in 93% above that. Out of 263 homes for sale, it stood out.
