Celebrate Earth Day at the City of San Carlos sponsored event that is a fun, family-friendly event focused on sustainability, climate action, and environmental stewardship. There will be various booths to promote various opportunities for residents to benefit from converting to electric such as home appliances (heat pump, induction range, heat pump water heater, etc.), driving an Electric Vehicle, etc. Going electric prevents air pollution in your home from fossil fuels and is better for the environment!

At the Climate Justice Action booth, they will be taking sign-ups for a home electrification tour event scheduled in the fall to see homes of residents who have gone electric. The Peninsula Clean Energy booth will help you learn about savings, discounts, and rebates on electric appliances and home repairs. There will be over 20 organizations with tables and games at the event so please stop by!

When: Sunday, April 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

More good news for our Real Estate Economy in San Mateo County! The top five cities by percentage growth in assessed value were Millbrae: 7.19%; Burlingame: 6.90%; Brisbane: 6.82%; Atherton: 6.49% and Woodside: 6.40%. An interesting and quick read.

San Mateo County was named the second wealthiest in California despite uncertain economic conditions, according to a 2024 Assessment Roll press release by Assessor March Church.
