The Virginia Maritime Association’s 2025 Annual Business Meeting was a wonderful way to close out the year, bringing together colleagues and friends to reflect on the progress and collaboration across the industry. Among the highlights, we were proud to see Mark Coberly, principal at Woods Rogers, recognized with an Honorary Lifetime Membership. This distinction celebrates his long-standing service, steady leadership, and deep commitment to advancing VMA’s mission and Virginia’s maritime community.

Additionally, we are pleased to share that Woods Rogers Maritime Practice Chair Richard Ottinger has joined the VMA’s Board and been appointed General Counsel, succeeding Mark in that capacity.
