WELLS MARBLE CELEBRATES NEWEST ASSOCIATE, ZACHARY STEWART, WITH FIRM WIDE RECEPTION

On Monday, October 5, Wells Marble was excited to gather together to celebrate our newest associate, Zachary “Zach” Stewart. Zach brings a unique professional background to the practice of law, having begun his career in education before attending law school.

At Wells Marble, Zach focuses his practice on a broad range of legal matters, including many categories of litigation, contract disputes, insurance issues, and municipal law. A Louisiana native, Zach earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems from Spring Hill College. He then graduated cm laude from the Mississippi College School of Law, where he served as Technical Articles Editor for the Mississippi College Law Review. Prior to joining Wells Marble, Zach clerked for the Honorable Judge Stacy O’Neal, gaining valuable experience in the judicial system and further strengthening his litigation background.

Outside of his legal practice, Zach enjoys playing video games, bowling, and baseball. Please join us in welcoming Zach to the Wells Marble team.

Wells Marble was proud to sponsor and participate in the 2026 Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament, held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Pete Brown Golf Facility. The tournament marked the 9th annual Mayor’s Cup event, bringing golfers from across the region together for a day of friendly competition while raising funds to support Junior Golf Development programs and the ongoing maintenance of the Pete Brown Golf Course. Representing Wells Marble on the course were firm members Gregg Caraway and Matt Hetzel.

The Mississippi Association of Self-Insurers (MASI) recently hosted its annual Spring Golf Tournament on Tuesday, May 12, at the Deerfield Golf Club. Once again, the event brought together industry partners for a memorable day on the course, with Wells Marble proudly continuing its support as a platinum sponsor.

Wells Marble member, Matt Hetzel, led our firm’s foursome. Although we came up short of claiming the championship, everyone enjoyed a great day of golf, camaraderie, and fellowship. We are grateful for our longstanding partnership with such an outstanding organization and look forward to supporting this event for many years to come.

MWCEA 2026 CONFERENCE RECAP

The MWCEA 2026 Conference is officially in the books! Held last week at the Beau Rivage , the three-day event brought together more than 400 professionals to exchange knowledge, strengthen connections, and promote growth across the industry.

The Wells Marble workers’ compensation team was proud to attend. We were also pleased to continue our annual Prime Sponsorship and to contribute to the silent auction benefiting Kids’ Chance of Mississippi.

WELLS MARBLE MOURNS THE LOSS OF FIRM MEMBER, BETTY B. ARINDER

It is with profound sadness that our firm announces the passing of our colleague and dear friend, Betty B. Arinder. Betty passed away on March 11, 2026. She was born on September 22, 1962, in Winona, Mississippi. Betty graduated cm laude from Millsaps College in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and later earned her Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law in 1988.

Betty was married to the love of her life, Gary Arinder. Together they raised three wonderful children: Tori Arinder Hood (Ben), Amy Arinder Whittenton (Will), and Graham Arinder. She was also the proud grandmother of two beloved grandchildren, Liam and Jamey Whittenton. Betty was deeply devoted to her large extended family, whom she loved dearly.

Betty enjoyed a long and distinguished legal career practicing employment law and workers’ compensation defense. We are especially grateful that she spent the final 16 years of her career as a valued member of the Wells Marble team.

Betty sincerely loved her work and, more importantly, her clients and the members of the workers’ compensation community. She received many numerous professional honors and was widely respected in the legal community. However, she treasured most the time she spent with her family and loved ones. She will be deeply missed by everyone at Wells Marble and by all who had the privilege of knowing her. While we mourn her untimely passing, we also celebrate a life well lived.

WELLS MARBLE PARTICIPATES IN MSI-PAC GOLF TOURNAMENT

Wells Marble was proud to field a team in yesterday’s Mississippians for Self‑Insurance Golf Tournament. The event, held at Whisper Lake Golf Club in Madison, brought together a wide range of business‑minded legislative leaders and statewide officials. Attendees enjoyed lunch and an afternoon of ideal weather on the course.

Following the tournament, golfers joined participants of the Mississippi Association of Self‑Insurers (MASI) Spring Conference for a pre‑conference reception at Anjou Restaurant in Ridgeland. The MASI Spring Conference officially begins today in Downtown Jackson.
