This Veterans Day, we honor the service of our Partner and Trial Attorney, Matthew D. Adkins, a former U.S. Army Drill Sergeant and Drill Sergeant Leader who earned a Bronze Star for his commitment in combat. After his military service, Mr. Adkins transitioned to the practice of law, where he continues to bring that same discipline and purpose to his clients.

At Murray & Adkins, we are proud to stand alongside Mr. Adkins and all veterans who have served our country. Thank you for defending our freedom and exemplifying leadership.

The law office of MURRAY & ADKINS, TRIAL ATTORNEYS, is seeking an experienced Paralegal with knowledge of Criminal Law and Family Law to join our team.

One who is punctual, organized, and has stellar time management doing the following tasks:
- Summarizing cases and preparing reports for the attorney
- Conducting research
- Investigating facts and developing legal arguments
- Drafting legal documents
- Preparing and filing documents with courts
- Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
- Assisting attorneys in court
- Time-keeping abilities

Below are our preferred qualifications:

Minimum two years of experience as a paralegal or a legal assistant
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Working knowledge of legal terminology and legal writing
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency with legal research tools such as LexisNexis

Hours of operation: Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Congratulations to our law clerks Trenton Lagano and Matthew Adkins, who graduated with honors from Richmond Hill High School on Friday night.

These young men have sat in on trials, reviewed case law, and assisted in drafting legal arguments since they were 16 years old. We are proud to have watched them grow and explore the legal field throughout their high school careers.

Trenton and Matthew have both committed to UGA, where they’ll study Public and International Affairs before moving on to law school. We have no doubt that these two will soon be exemplary attorneys and a great addition to the Georgia legal community.

What is Attorney Client Privilege?

In short, it protects client communications with their attorney. This can include all forms of communication such as phone calls, text messages, emails, letters, in-person communications, etc.

It is one of the oldest and most respected privileges for confidential communications.
