Today Nicholas Jason Enoch's term as the Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar of Arizona came to a conclusion. He will remain on the Section's Executive Council for one more year as the Immediate Past Chair.

On June 4 and 5, 2026, Lubin, Enoch & Bustamante, P.C.'s law clerks, Jacob D. Martinez and Gabriela Chen, attended the AFL-CIO Union Lawyers Alliance's ("ULA") Diversity, Outreach, Opportunities and Recruitment ("DOOR") Conference at the AFL-CIO's headquarters in Washington, D.C. The DOOR Program seeks to introduce law students of color to the practice of law in the labor movement and to encourage them to join the ranks of union-side attorneys in the ongoing battle for social and economic justice.

Clara Stephanie Bustamante is a current member of the ULA's Board of Directors and Nicholas Jason Enoch was a member of the Board of Directors from 2015 to 2017.

This morning, Maryland Governor Wes Moore signed into law the Utility RELIEF (Reducing Energy Load Inflation for Everyday Families) Act. This is just the most recent piece of legislation that our law firm has drafted and our Managing Partner, Nicholas Jason Enoch, attended today's Bill signing in Annapolis.

Responding to the unprecedented surge in ICE detentions of union members in Minnesota, the AFL-CIO helped set up a multi-state network of pro bono attorneys, including our colleague and firm partner, Clara Bustamante, to assist with habeas corpus filings in federal court. Through Clara’s efforts, two union members from Minnesota - who were transferred to, and detained in, New Mexico and Texas, respectively – were released from ICE custody while their immigration cases proceed to their final conclusion.

Today, Clara shared her clients’, and her own, story about these cases during a continuing legal education class sponsored by the AFL-CIO Union Lawyers Alliance. The webinar gave attendees (most of whom have no prior immigration law experience) a brief background on current trends in immigration detention and the legal claims challenging it, with a focus on the nuts-and-bolts of filing petitions.

Clara, who is on the Board of Directors of the AFL-CIO Union Lawyers Alliance, is admitted to practice law in all of the state and federal courts in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.
