I did not know we lost alumni

In the garden behind the admin building stands a memorial stone given by the WVWC Class of 2002. The inscription reads: In remembrance of WV Wesleyan community members who died or lost family members on Sept. 11, 2001.

On this 25th anniversary, West Virginia Wesleyan College remembers Debra Fischer Gibbon ‘79 and John W. “Huck” Farrell ‘82, who died in the Sept. 11 attack at the World Trade Center. U.S. Navy Commander Patrick Dunn, husband of Stephanie Ross DeSimone ‘93, and Dr. Paul Ambrose, son of Dr. Ken (Sharon) Ambrose ‘62, died in the Sept. 11 attack at the Pentagon. We pay tribute to the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day and those who have died from related health issues since Sept. 11.
