As summer gives way to fall, we're still reflecting on an unforgettable evening in Chicago celebrating Partner and American Bar Association President-Elect Laura Farber at this year's Annual Conference.
Hosted at the Swissôtel Chicago high above downtown, guests gathered against a backdrop of sweeping skyline views, sparkling city lights, and a palpable sense of excitement for the leadership journey ahead. The reception was thoughtfully designed to showcase pieces of California that have helped shape Laura's story, from a special w**e tasting experience curated by sommelier John Aranza of San Antonio Winery, Los Angeles to an incredible dessert display from local Chicago restaurant and bakery La Nonna, who performed nothing short of a miracle to delight guests with all evening long.
One of the most meaningful touches came from those who couldn't be there in person. Handwritten notes from firm members were displayed throughout the space, allowing family, friends, and colleagues near and far to share their congratulations, encouragement, and memories. Their presence was felt in every corner of the room.
