A personal financial statement shows a lender the full picture of what you own and what you owe and you'll often need one for a loan, a mortgage, or buying or selling a business.

It's something we prepare for our clients, even though a lot of people don't think to ask.

Need one? Let's put it together.

Mark it down now: September 30 is a key renewal deadline for Florida businesses.

Your Business Tax Receipt (BTR) renews yearly and remember: you often need one from the city and another from the county.

Hold a liquor license? That's a separate renewal through the DBPR, with its own paperwork. Let any of them lapse and you're looking at late fees or running your business without valid licensing and not even knowing it. A month out is the time to sort it out, not the final week.

Not sure what your business needs to renew? Let's map it out.

September is a big compliance month for Florida business owners, save this one.

Three things to watch: partnership and S-corp returns on extension are due September 15 (final deadline, penalties per partner or shareholder); your local Business Tax Receipt, often city and county, plus special licenses like liquor through the DBPR renew around September 30; and if you never filed this year's Annual Report, the state can administratively dissolve your company in late September.

Miss one and it costs you: in fees, penalties, or your good standing.
We track every one of these for our clients. Let's make sure you're covered.

Most business owners don't lose money because of bad sales. They lose it because of bad bookkeeping.

Here are 4 mistakes we see all the time:

1️⃣ Mixing personal and business expenses
2️⃣ Waiting until tax season to organize your books
3️⃣ Missing deductible expenses because there's no record of them
4️⃣ Doing it all yourself without knowing the rules

Clean books mean better decisions, fewer surprises, and more deductions at tax time.

Is your bookkeeping helping your business grow, or holding it back? Let's find out together.

A myth we hear all the time: "I need a Social Security number to open a company." You don't.

To open a company, you need an available business name, a registered agent, and to register with the state (Sunbiz) plus an EIN from the IRS, which you can get without an SSN.

Opening is the easy part, how your business gets taxed is where the right setup matters.

Karen breaks it down in Spanish.
Thinking about starting your business? Let's go over it together.

Opening a company in Florida starts with three things:

βœ… A business name that's available
βœ… A registered agent
βœ… Your filing with Sunbiz

That's the foundation. Choosing the right structure for your business? That's where good guidance makes all the difference.

Ready to make your business official? Let's walk through it together.

Here's what most business owners get backwards: they think about taxes in April. But by April, the year's already closed, there’s nothing left to change.

The moves that actually lower your bill (timing income, buying equipment, funding retirement, catching up on your books) all have to happen before December 31. Q4 is where a good year gets protected and a messy one gets fixed. Start now and you’ll walk into tax season already ahead.

Let's build your Q4 plan while there's still time to use it.
