After a serious medical emergency, one of our clients faced overwhelming financial hardship—losing a business and struggling under mounting debt. With the guidance and support of Legal Aid, they were able to clear over $174,000 in debt and keep their home.

A beautiful evening on the lake and a wonderful opportunity to connect with those interested in making a difference through pro bono service.

Hosted by our Senior Staff Attorney of Pro Bono Engagement, Sharlene C. Stanford Greene, the LAS Summer Soirée brought together attorneys and community members to learn more about pro bono opportunities with Legal Aid Society and the impact volunteer service has on our community.

D earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences, with a minor in psychology, from the University of South Florida and is currently attending Barry University School of Law.
