For the United States government to accept your documents, you must submit a Certified Translation that strictly complies with federal law:

🏛️ 1. Strict USCIS Requirement:

Immigration law requires that any document in a foreign language be accompanied by a complete, verified, and validated English translation.

✍️ 2. The Certification Statement:
It is not enough for the translator to know both languages. The translated document must include a signed statement explicitly declaring that the translation is accurate, faithful to the original, and that the translator is fully competent to translate.

🛑 3. Avoid Delays or Rejection:

Submitting self-translations or translations that are not in the correct legal format will cause USCIS to send you a Request for Evidence (RFE), which will freeze your case for months or, in the worst-case scenario, result in the denial of your application.

The Department of State has published the August 2026 Visa Bulletin, with progress for those awaiting permanent residency.

📖 Key fact: Table B shows when you can START filing your paperwork (not when your case gets approved). Your "priority date" is the date your family petition (I-130) was filed.

🥳 F2A remains "Current": spouses and minor children of permanent residents can move forward now, regardless of their priority date.

📈 F1 and F2B advance: unmarried children of citizens (F1) and unmarried children over 21 of permanent residents (F2B) have shorter wait times this month.

🏛️ USCIS confirmed family-based petitions must use Table B. If your priority date is earlier than the one listed, you can now move forward.
