⚖️ This landmark social media trial has already raised important questions about what Meta knew about the experiences of young users on its platforms, what its own research revealed, and how the company responded to concerns about safety and harm. 📲

Over the first week, the court heard:
👉 Opening arguments from the states and Meta
👉 Testimony from former Meta executive and whistleblower Arturo Bejar
👉 Evidence from former Meta researchers
👉 Expert testimony on adolescent mental health and social media use
👉 Arguments over evidence and attorney-client privilege
👉 The judge’s criticism of Meta’s approach to certain privilege claims

With the trial continuing for the coming weeks, the evidence presented so far is only the beginning. We’ll continue to follow the proceedings and share key developments as the case unfolds. 👀

🎥 On MS NOW’s The Weeknight, Special Counsel Jennifer Freeman responded to Todd Blanche’s confirmation hearing, calling out what survivors have experienced for years: repeated failures, broken promises, and a lack of accountability.

🙅‍♀️ Jennifer rejected claims that the DOJ’s handling of the Epstein files was simply a “communications problem,” calling that characterization “absurd and demeaning to survivors.”

She also accused Todd Blanche of “fake transparency” from the start, saying survivors deserve more than empty promises, they deserve real answers, real accountability, and a genuine investigation. 🙌

🎉 Our first annual Marsh Law Firm retreat was one to remember. ✨

Last week, our team came together at James Marsh’s incredible lakeside Michigan property to step away from our day-to-day, reconnect, and reflect on the important work we do together.

From meaningful conversations around the fire pit and time spent by the lake to incredible farm-to-table meals at Granor Farm, along with great wine, and plenty of laughter, it was the perfect opportunity to recharge, and strengthen the relationships that make our team so special. 💞

👏🏼 A huge thank you to our very own James for being such an incredible host and welcoming us to his one-of-a-kind home. We’re already looking forward to next year! 🥂

🎥 Special Counsel Jennifer Freeman joined NewsNation with Chris Cuomo to discuss the DOJ’s continued handling of the Epstein files and the unanswered questions survivors still face.

Jennifer emphasized that this has never been about politics: “We’re dealing with crimes against victims and survivors. It’s not about politics, and it never has been.”

She also challenged claims that the DOJ has released everything it has, pointing out that “more documents remain unreleased than released,” while the files that were released contained improper redactions and failed to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

🙌 Survivors deserve the full truth, not partial transparency.

Under Blanche’s leadership at the Department of Justice, survivors’ personal information, including names, phone numbers, and home addresses, was exposed, while many alleged abusers and other powerful individuals connected to Epstein remained protected by redactions. Survivors were revictimized, their safety was put at risk, and opportunities for accountability were lost.

At the same time, millions of Epstein-related files remained unreleased, and additional credible investigative leads and potential perpetrators were not pursued, leaving survivors without the transparency and accountability they deserve.

We stand with survivors in demanding transparency, accountability, and justice.

We are shocked and saddened by the sudden and untimely death of Senator Lindsey Graham, who was a steadfast champion for victims of CSAM and online exploitation. In 2019, Senator Graham created the EARN IT Act, which, if passed, would have made Big Tech 'earn' Section 230 immunity by identifying and removing CSAM from their platforms. Over the years, we worked closely with Senator Graham on this and other legislation to protect children online. He never wavered or compromised his belief that children deserve protection from Big Tech and that civil liability was an effective means of holding companies responsible for the harms they cause. His leadership will be greatly missed at this crucial time when tech accountability seems more unattainable than ever.
