Buckner, Shifrin, Etter, Dugan & Bradfute, P.A. is proud to announce the elevation of Amitai Gavarian to Partner.
Mr. Gavarian represents clients in the firm’s civil litigation department, and primarily defends insurance companies in first party property claim disputes. When we asked Mr. Gavarian what he finds most rewarding in practicing law, he stated “convincing the Judge that your client is right, and the other side is wrong.”
Mr. Gavarian was born in New York and moved to Florida in 1997, where he has resided ever since. Though Mr. Gavarian has lived in South Florida for many years now, he remains an ardent supporter of the New York Jets, Mets and Knicks.
After graduating high school, Mr. Gavarian attended the University of Florida, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in English, while simultaneously working as the managing editor for a widely distributed magazine for college students. Most importantly, he met his wife at UF during their sophomore year, and have been together ever since.
Mr. Gavarian pursued a career in journalism after graduating college, utilizing his love of sport, music, film and television, with his passion for writing. After editing and writing for a magazine for a few years, Mr. Gavarian enrolled at St. Thomas University’s College of Law in the fall of 2010, and graduated in 2013.
Mr. Gavarian started at Buckner Shifrin as an Associate in 2015. He quickly became an asset to the firm as a fierce litigator with a tireless work ethic. Among his clients, Mr. Gavarian is widely respected as a diligent representative and advocate, while never shying away from having forthright conversations with his clients when necessary.
In his (rare) free time, Mr. Gavarian enjoys spending time with his family, eating at every restaurant possible, watching his favorite teams, seeing live music, playing guitar and disc golf.
