Welcome Esther! Esther Murillo has joined the Chiles McGuire Criminal Law team as our legal assistant and office manager. We are very excited to have her on our team!

Esther joins us with a Bachelors degree from the University of Oklahoma in Criminal Justice and Political Science. After receiving her degree and spending some time working in law firms she is currently studying to finish her Masters degree in Criminal Justice from Texas A&M University.

Esther aspires to attend law school and become a criminal defense attorney. Esther cares deeply for spanish speakers who are stuck in a justice system that doesn’t speak their language.

Welcome to our first official Summer Associate, Brooke Weber!

Brooke is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science, with a minor in Psychology, from LeTourneau University. Brooke is a member of the Royal Furgeson Inn of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and has been recognized on the Dean's List at UNT Dallas College of Law.

Prior to joining Chiles McGuire, Brooke gained experience through internships with the Gregg County District Attorney's Office and private law firms, where she conducted legal research, drafted legal documents, reviewed discovery, and assisted with trial preparation.

Brooke is passionate about criminal law and enjoys the challenge of legal research, advocacy, and problem-solving. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing coed soccer, and coaching youth sports in volleyball, basketball, and soccer.

Introducing Partner and Co-Founder, Attorney Patrick McGuire!

Patrick McGuire is a former felony prosecutor, having began his career with the Kaufman County DA’s Office where he tried many misdemeanors to verdict. Next, Patrick moved onto the Dallas County DA’s Office where he continued to grow, becoming a felony prosecutor. Notably, Patrick received specialized training from the Bureau of Alcohol, To***co, and Fi****ms on how to litigate arson and explosives cases.

Patrick took this experience and became a criminal defense attorney at a premier boutique criminal defense firm. Patrick achieved numerous dismissals, rejections, and favorable results. Most notably, Patrick achieved a not guilty verdict for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Young Child, a not guilty verdict for First Degree Felony Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (fentanyl), a denial of adult certification for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child in juvenile court (resulting in a complete dismissal), two dismissals for felony arson cases, a case rejection for an active police officer, and many other favorable results.

Patrick grew up in Collin County and graduated from Prosper High School. He achieved a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering and a minor in Mathematics from Texas Tech University. After a brief stint in the petrochemical industry, Patrick returned to school, graduating from the SMU Dedman School of Law. Outside of work, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
