Our Las Vegas office attended the event, enjoying entertainment from comedians Alonzo Bodden and ANT (pictured) while learning about the organization's impact on countless lives. We Care House is one of the longest-standing critical substance abuse treatment and support services providers for women in the community. It was an honor to show our support for their work and this milestone!

Arias Sanguinetti enjoyed cheering on our own Donna Maryanski at the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Los Angeles Chapter’s Improv Night! It was more than just a fun evening out. Improv is a skill that trial lawyers actively cultivate — quick thinking, reading a room, and connecting with an audience in real time are just as essential in front of a jury as they are on a stage.

Donna is an Advocate Member of ABOTA, an invitation-only organization of the nation's most respected trial lawyers, where she serves on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles Chapter and as co-chair of Civility Matters. We enjoyed cheering her on!

Arias Sanguinetti is pleased to welcome Alex Work to our Southern California office as an Associate! Alex brings a dynamic plaintiff-side litigation background, with experience managing a substantial personal injury docket, arguing motions in California state and federal courts, and handling complex law and motion practice. Her experience also spans criminal defense, capital habeas matters, immigration advocacy, and civil rights work, giving her a uniquely broad perspective.

Alex earned her J.D. and M.B.A. from Boston College's Schools of Law and Management, after graduating from the University of New Hampshire with her B.A. in Economics. While at Boston College, Alex was named to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Pro Bono Honor Roll and earned two consecutive Awards of Excellence during her externships with the Office of the Federal Public Defender.

Building on her M.B.A., Alex leverages technology, specifically advanced language models, to develop customized legal solutions that improve efficiency, client service, and case outcomes. She has spent her career fighting for the underdog, and we are excited to welcome her to Arias Sanguinetti as she continues that mission!

This week, Elise Sanguinetti testified before the California Assembly Transportation Committee on autonomous vehicles. Elise brings depth to this space and has shared thought leadership on the safety concerns of autopilot and full self-driving features. In her work, she explores the litigation challenges consumer advocates face in this space, specifically against Big Tech companies.

Arias Sanguinetti is excited to have Tanya Smith join our Northern California office as an Associate! She brings more than 10 years of experience in labor and employment law and is licensed to practice in both California and Nevada. Tanya has represented employees facing discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination in the workplace.
Her practice spans state and federal courts, arbitrations, and proceedings before administrative agencies. Notably, Tanya has first-chaired a five-week jury trial in a FEHA disability discrimination and whistleblower retaliation case in Sacramento County Superior Court. She previously served as Co-Chair of the Public Employee Committee for the California Employment Lawyers Association. We look forward to the dedication, depth of knowledge, and fierce advocacy she will bring to our clients!
