Individual legal consultations are available for families and non-parent caregivers involved in probate guardianship proceedings in the LA County Superior Court.

The Atlantic is out with a new piece on immigrant families navigating the intersection of immigration enforcement and family law — and LevittQuinn's own Sharon Balmer Cartagena is featured for her years of advocacy work on behalf of these families.

Sharon has spent her career working with parents and children facing the most complex family law situations — where immigration status, custody rights, and child welfare collide in ways the legal system is not always equipped to handle.

She brings that expertise — and that urgency — to LevittQuinn Family Law Center as our new Executive Director.

Today, California honors its Native American communities — and LevittQuinn Family Law Center stands with them.

The Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) was enacted to protect the rights of Native American children and families in custody and child welfare proceedings — recognizing that keeping children connected to their families, tribes, and cultures is in their best interest.

At LevittQuinn, we serve families navigating custody, adoption, and guardianship matters in Los Angeles County — and we believe the same principle: that every child deserves stability, and every family deserves access to quality legal guidance, regardless of income or background.

Your immigration status does not determine your right to legal guidance.

LevittQuinn Family Law Center does not inquire about a client's immigration status unless it is necessary and directly relevant to their case.

Under California Family Code Section 3040(b), the immigration status of a parent, legal guardian, or relative does not disqualify them from receiving custody consideration.

If your family law matter is in the LA County Superior Court and you meet our eligibility criteria, you may qualify for LevittQuinn's free and sliding-scale family law services — regardless of your immigration status.
