At the 43rd annual NALEO conference today, Stephanie Vasquez, Susie Altamirano, and Dulce Rodas delivered a presentation titled, “Governing Through Immigration: What Local Leaders Need to Know.” The session covered key topics such as de-escalating tensions, understanding jurisdictional roles, building intergovernmental relationships, and establishing a practical foundation across various jurisdictions.

The NALEO Annual Conference is the nation’s largest and most prestigious gathering of Latino elected and appointed officials and their supporters. It is designed to enhance the governance skills of participants and deepen their understanding of critical policy issues in a cross-jurisdictional context.
