Do NOT put any personal data on an employer provided device. Your personal phone is one thing, but a department issued device (and ALL the data on it) is owned by your agency.

Tax returns, medical records, photos, all of it. Keep work info separate from personal info.

LA’s expensive verdicts didn’t happen in a vacuum.

So here’s the question for voters during primary season: Who decided to roll the dice with taxpayer dollars?

Think your oral interview score didn’t make sense? You might be right.

Oral boards can be incredibly subjective and, in some cases, weaponized against you.

$14.6 million verdicts don’t happen overnight. Don’t blame the jury. Don’t blame the lawyer.

Ask why they didn't settle for less when they had every chance to. The clients should not be punished for leadership failures.

A former Mooresville police officer has filed a lawsuit against the town, alleging he was retaliated against for speaking with another law enforcement officer about a search warrant operation.

The lawsuit makes him the fourth former employee to sue the town since the beginning of the year.

WBTV reports Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell is calling for an independent investigation into the Mooresville Police Department.

In the lawsuit, filed Monday, March 30, Officer Paul Exon alleges he was working as a Special Response Team medic during a search warrant ex*****on on Birdsong Lane in Iredell County.

According to the filing, the property is about six miles outside Mooresville town limits and falls under the jurisdiction of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. (Source//wfae.org)

Blowing the whistle? Document EVERYTHING. šŸ“

If the record isn’t clear, it becomes ā€œhe said, she saidā€ later on. Put your concerns in writing, make sure your timeline is solid, and understand this: retaliation can happen.

Preparation matters just as much as speaking up. āš ļø

LA voted 14-0 to limit pretext stops. But when command staff discriminate against employees? Silence.

In court, LAPD leadership admitted a Captain acted with discriminatory bias against a female employee. No discipline followed.

That’s the problem: Rules for officers. No accountability for leadership.

A report from the Los Angeles Times highlights a culture of ā€œabsolute obedienceā€ inside the Los Angeles Fire Department.

In a paramilitary system, following orders is crucial to operation. The issue is not every order is lawful.

Structure is necessary. Blind obedience isn’t.
