Do you know me? This husky-type dog was found injured on Flake Plaza near 606 & 28. He is a young, male, brown and white dog. He is now receiving veterinary care at Loudoun County Animal Services. Can you help us find his family?

Books & pets - name a better collab if you can! We’re so excited to share that there's a new book vending machine in town thanks to LCPL! Whether your next chapter includes a furry friend or a new read – you’ll find it here at LCAS!

A ribbon-cutting will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday 5/30 and to celebrate the new book machine, we're waiving all adoption fees for LCPL library card holders this weekend (5/30 & 5/31)! Don't have a library card? Get one at the machine!

There's a new book vending machine in town! Bring your library card to Loudoun County Animal Services (LCAS) at 42225 Adoption Drive in Leesburg to make your "Gotcha Day" a story to remember.

LCPL cardholders pay zero adoption fees this Saturday and Sunday, and you can use the machine to get your first library card. A ribbon-cutting will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Do you know me? This spayed female tortoiseshell cat was found on Shabury Circle in Ashburn, VA. She is now receiving medical attention at Loudoun County Animal Services. Can you help us find her family?

We have this available for adoption. Is she a dog? Excellent question. We believe so. But she could also be an Ewok, an abandoned movie-set muppet or a mop that gained consciousness during a thunderstorm.

For now, we’re operating under the assumption that she is, in fact, canine. We’ve named her Maggie and enrolled her in “Dog 101.” Current coursework includes:

“What Is a Leash and Why Is It Following Me?”
“Zoomies and You: Interior Design Through High-Speed Chaos”
“Advanced Lap Sitting: Training Your Human to Cancel Their Plans and Worship You Full-Time”

Maggie is thriving academically, although she remains deeply suspicious of doorways and her own reflection.

It’s going to be pretty awkward for all of us if she turns out not to be a dog at all, but rather some kind of highly intelligent fuzzy lint creature that wandered here from another dimension.

Either way, she’s available for adoption and we're open 11am-6pm daily.

We love an adoption update! Clyde's family sent over some photos and wrote:

"Clyde is adjusting well! He has certainly made himself at home and enjoys snuggling up on the couch, playing with his toys, and long walks.

He’s a really sweet boy minus chewing on some shoes! We are working on that :)"

Looks like Clyde has officially found his sole-mates!😂 Thank you for adopting and congratulations on your new family member!

Are you a Batman looking for your sidekick? Look no further than Robin! 🦸‍♂️

At just 20lbs, Robin doesn't need to be the main character but instead would love to be your partner in crime! During the day, he is a happy pup who loves to join you on your quests for justice (or flop at your feet for some belly rubs); by night, he is ready to fight crime, or maybe just dream about it while you lounge on the couch together.

Robin's superpower is putting himself to bed. This pup loves his crate! He's goofy, loves people, a polite passenger in the Batmobile and lived well with three cats in his foster home. 😺

Robin's current foe is a skin infection he's fiercely battling, which is why you may notice his unique, superhero mask appearance. He's doing a great job overcoming this villain, and soon he'll be in tip-top shape and looking his best! And hey, he makes up for his current fur-pattern with his adorable, winning smile!

Curious as a cat about yarn? Join us for Crochet Club at the animal shelter! Try your paw at our monthly crochet project, start a new project of your own, or bring one from home! We will have supplies and lessons available.

This activity is open to all skill levels and recommended for ages 12+. No sign up is required, Crochet Club meets Thursday, May 21 2026 from 6-7pm at LCAS! See less

Join us for After-School Animal Club for kids ages 11-13! Our next club meeting is on Friday, May 22 from 5-6pm!

This month, After-School Animal Club is all about helping animals find homes and giving back at the shelter! We’ll be making adoption posters, learning about the adoption process and helping out around the shelter. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and make a difference!
