SOLD! ❤️ This post is long for a reason.
This one wore me out... but in the best way.
A few months ago, an out-of-town agent made a post in a local Facebook group looking for someone to refer this listing to. Several people tagged me and suggested she give me a call. I'll always be grateful for those referrals and for people who trust me with their friends and family.
My seller, Ms. Brenda, is wheelchair bound and was preparing to move back home to Mobile to be closer to family. She didn't have anyone nearby to help, so every repair, every chore, every errand, every bit of yard work and cleaning had to be hired out. It made me realize how blessed many of us are to have family and friends we can lean on.
We priced the home where it needed to be, got it under contract quickly, and then the real work began.
Over the next several weeks, I helped with repairs, errands, coordinating vendors, and whatever else needed to be done. Not because it's in a job description, but because sometimes we are human and are here on earth to take care of each other.
Closing day was one for the book i will write one day! I was at her house early that morning helping to get her prepared to travel, clean the house, empty the refrigerator, and haul off the trash. She kept saying, "I don't want to leave a mess for the new owners." She wanted to leave the home with the same care she had lived in it.
I couldn't have gotten this one across the finish line without an amazing team. A huge thank you to Danielle Knight with Marmac Real Estate for being such a cooperative agent and working alongside us every step of the way. Teamwork truly made the difference. Thank you also to Kyle Defoor with Alabama Land for going to Ms. Brenda's home so she could sign her closing documents. A big Thank you to her agent in Mobile, Christina, who arranged for someone to drive her 6 hours to her new home and drive her moving trucks. And to those that traveled up here to get her, you were so respectful and a blessing.
Ms. Brenda definitely kept me on my toes! It's been two weeks since closing, and I still can't believe we pulled it off. 😂
The best part? I didn't just help a client sell her home—I walked away with a new friend. Near the end she smiled and said, "I didnt know about you at first but I love you." That meant more to me than she'll ever know.
Congratulations, Ms. Brenda ❤️
