🔹ESPAÑOL🔹Un juez federal encontró que centros de detención de inmigrantes en Texas y California han mantenido a niños en condiciones inseguras: temperaturas extremas, sin jabón, sin sueño adecuado, y con retrasos graves en atención médica un niño de 10 años esperó casi 60 días para ver a un cardiólogo, y un bebé de 2 años fue hospitalizado solo después de seis días de fiebre.

La jueza Dolly M. Gee ya designó un monitor independiente para vigilar el cumplimiento del gobierno con el acuerdo Flores, que desde 1997 garantiza el cuidado básico de menores inmigrantes detenidos. Esto no debería estar pasando. Ningún niño debería vivir esto mientras espera una respuesta del sistema.

🔹ENGLISH🔹A federal judge found that immigration detention centers in Texas and California have kept children in unsafe conditions: extreme temperatures, no soap, inadequate sleep, and serious delays in medical care one 10-year-old waited nearly 60 days to see a cardiologist, and a 2-year-old was hospitalized only after six days of fever.

Judge Dolly M. Gee has already appointed an independent monitor to track the government's compliance with the Flores settlement, which has guaranteed basic care for detained immigrant children since 1997. This should not be happening. No child should have to go through this while waiting on a broken system to respond.
