More than 500 US Citizens have been detained by ICE, including a dozen who have been deported.

A report from ProPublica states “Collectively, these cases show that as the administration has relentlessly pursued immigrants, federal agents have run roughshod over the constitutional rights of citizens too."

The government doesn’t track how often immigration officers detain U.S. citizens. So ProPublica did. We’ve found more than 500 Americans who were held against their will during this Trump administration.

ICE says it has no information on the number of miscarriages suffered by detained immigrants after October 2025. Meanwhile, detained women and their attorneys report they are unable to access routine and emergency medical care in detention. Women who miscarried or were hospitalized for pregnancy related complications said they did not receive follow-up care, despite experiencing ongoing pain and symptoms.

Prior administrations had a policy against detaining pregnant women absent extreme criminal or national security threats. The current administration ended that policy, resulting in a dramatic increase in pregnant women being detained.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has “lost count” of how many pregnant women and teenagers in detention centers have suffered miscarriages under its care, a new report claimed.

In the midst of hurricane season, instead of focusing on disaster preparedness and safety, Florida leadership has indebted the state through gross “emergency” immigration enforcement spending including construction of the now closed “Alligator Alcatraz.” The facility was closed by the State in June of this year due to ongoing environmental and civil rights litigation given the abhorrent conditions and lack of environmental assessment or planning for the hastily constructed immigration detention center.

Lawmakers didn’t get the months-overdue report on the state’s disaster fund debts until just before a vote on adding more money to it.
