Buckle those kids up!
Golf cart injuries account for over 3,800 pediatric emergency room visits annually. Children represent up to 40% of all golf cart-related trauma victims, with nearly half of these injuries occurring in children under 12 years old.
Leading Causes of Injury
Falls and Ejections: Falls from moving carts account for roughly 50% of child injuries. Children are often unsecured or lack the physical leverage to brace themselves during sharp turns or sudden stops.
Collisions & Rollovers: Around 36% of incidents involve a collision with an object/another vehicle, or the cart overturning.
Missing Restraints: Research shows that seat belts are absent or unused in nearly 90% of pediatric golf cart crashes.
