It’s not often we have an Ohio Supreme Court Justice stop by the office! Justice Daniel Hawkins stopped by to chat this afternoon on his way to Marietta, we had a great conversation about the challenges of rural practice and what the firm has been up to! We also introduced him to the local cuisine with some Jackson County Ski pop and Michael’s peanuts☺️.

At OHMWC, we believe strong schools build strong communities. Our local schools are more than just classrooms—they’re where future leaders, workers, and neighbors are shaped every single day. The Jackson Community’s continued willingness to pour their hearts into our kids is one of the greatest things about living here. We’d be remiss not to take this opportunity to show our support for our educators and local schools.

The upcoming income tax levy is an investment in our children, our educators, and the future of our community. It helps ensure students have safe facilities, updated resources, and the opportunities they deserve to succeed.

We’re proud to stand in support of our schools and encourage others to stay informed and get involved. There is a LOT of information available about this levy and the Jackson City School administration has been incredibly transparent throughout this process. Please do your due diligence for the children of our community.

When we invest in education, we invest in all of us.

One of our favorite things about practicing in a small town is the opportunity to give back and see the difference it makes firsthand. We are lucky to have been in a place that we were able to make this donation and that’s all because of our local supporters and clients! ❤️

The Jackson Law Offices of Oths, Heiser, Miller, Waigand and Clagg, LLC, generously donated 1,000 ready-to-pack shoeboxes that contributed to almost 15,000 lifechanging boxes, which were prayerfully packed by donors in the five-county Southern Ohio Operation Christmas Child Team Area. More people will now need to meet work or training requirements to keep SNAP benefits, including adults 55–64, parents of teens (14–18), veterans, people experiencing homelessness, and youth aging out of foster care. Individuals will now be required to work at least 80 hours per month or approved training.
