Cody S. Frazier, of 11295 Beaver Pike in Jackson, was arrested Friday, January 9th, by Judge Randy H. Dupree’s Municipal Court Probation Officers and Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies on a warrant for probation violation. Frazier was found hiding behind a false wall in a garage on the property and taken into custody. A handgun was also located in the vicinity of Frazier and was seized. Frazier was incarcerated at the Jackson County Correctional Facility, where he will await initial appearance at the Jackson County Municipal Court.

November 3rd through November 7th is probation reporting week at the Jackson County Municipal Court.

In anticipation of either withheld or delayed SNAP benefits, all individuals reporting to the Probation Department between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day will receive a free lunch consisting of a hamburger or hot dog, chips and water.

We also encourage those reporting to bring their children along for a meal.

Judge Mark T. Musick Overdose Awareness Memorial Run (5K) set for Saturday, Aug. 23

Members of the community are invited to register for the annual Judge Mark T. Musick Overdose Awareness Memorial Run (5K).

Musick, who served as the judge of the Jackson County Municipal Court for 17-plus years, passed away at the age of 68 on May 5, 2025. He established a successful Drug Court program and brought awareness to the frequency of drug overdoses and drug-overdose deaths in Jackson County.

The 5K, which is in its second year, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23. It has been renamed in honor of Judge Musick. The starting point will be The Depot in Wellston. The registration deadline is 7:30 a.m. with the race beginning at 8 a.m. The cost is $30 per person. There will be a balloon launch after for those who lost their battle with addiction. The Jackson County Municipal Court Probation Department is offering bonus hours for community service this Friday for individuals to help with Bridge Day. Bridge Day is organized by the Jackson County PORT Team. Community service workers will meet with court personnel at Manpower Park to sign in. The hours are from 10 a.m. until the event has concluded at approximately 5 p.m.
