Attorney Eloy G recently had the opportunity to speak with participants in the Apprenticeship Readiness Program/Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (ARP/MC3) through the Houston Gulf Coast Building and Construction Trades Council.

During the presentation, Eloy discussed the importance of unions, protecting your future in the trades, and understanding your rights when workplace injuries or serious accidents occur. We are proud to support programs that invest in the next generation of skilled union workers and help create safer, stronger workplaces across our communities.

Congratulations to the gift card winners, and thank you to everyone who participated in the discussion.

Partner Jim Hart recently had the opportunity to present during the IBEW Local 66 Steward Training, speaking with union stewards about workers’ rights, workplace injuries, and the importance of having trusted legal advocates in your corner before tragedy strikes.

We’re proud to continue building relationships with the men and women who keep our communities powered and protected every day. Thank you to IBEW Local 66 for the invitation and for the work your stewards do to support union members and their families.

We’re proud to announce a $300,000 settlement on behalf of an injured Chief Engineer under the Jones Act.

Our client suffered serious injuries while working aboard a tugboat, and we were honored to fight for the compensation he deserved. Maritime workers face dangerous conditions every day, and employers have a duty to provide a reasonably safe place to work.

This result reflects our commitment to standing up for injured seamen and protecting the rights of those who work on the water.

A federal court has granted summary judgment in favor of plaintiffs in the Downstream litigation, marking a significant step forward for property owners impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

With liability now established, the case moves into the damages phase, where compensation will be determined.

“This ruling marks a significant milestone in the Downstream litigation. By granting summary judgment on liability, the Court has cleared the path for plaintiffs to move forward and seek full compensation.” Armi Easterby, founding partner of Easterby Law.

For downstream property owners, this decision represents more than progress; it confirms that their losses and years of hardship are recognized under the law.

Williams Hart & Boundas, alongside Easterby Law, represents property owners both upstream and downstream of the Addicks and Barker reservoirs.

We will continue to share updates as this case progresses.
