Still smiling from the 94th South Central Regional Conference of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Shreveport showed up, and so did the “Sensational” South Central Region. Over 5,000 sorors gathered under the theme “The R.E.A.L. Deal: Betting on Service and Sisterhood.” And listen… the energy, the excellence, the sisterhood? Unmatched.

So proud to be a member of Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter and to celebrate these incredible accomplishments:
💗💚 EAF Platinum Chapter
💗💚 1st Place: Chapter Exhibit
💗💚 1st Place: SOAR International Award
💗💚 1st Place: Strengthen Our Sisterhood International Award
💗💚 1st Place: Generation Next International Award
💗💚 2nd Place: Outstanding Scrapbook

Excellence lives here. Period.

One of my favorite parts of the weekend? Spending real time with the undergraduates of Epsilon Lambda Chapter at the University of Houston. Riding together, laughing, talking, and just getting to know them beyond the formal moments… that meant a lot.

It’s something special about pouring into the next generation while learning from them at the same time.

Grateful for the memories, the moments, and the mission we share.

The work continues… and I’m here for it.

There’s something powerful about being in a room full of small business owners who are committed to leveling up.

was exactly that kind of room.

The session, “Digital Marketing Success in 2026,” was packed with real, actionable insight for anyone navigating business in today’s digital landscape.

I’m still thinking about my takeaways:

✅People buy from those they KNOW, LIKE & TRUST. Algorithms change. Relationships don’t.

✅ What worked in your marketing 3 years ago? Leave it there. The landscape has shifted and your strategy needs to shift with it.

✅ Social commerce isn’t optional anymore. It’s a revenue channel that demands a current, intentional strategy.

✅ Creator ecosystems are changing how brands build trust and reach new people.

✅ Your audience is already telling you what they want through their behavior. Learning to read those signals is how you show up for them before they even know they need you.

✅ Your brand deserves your attention. Reflect. Refine. Promote boldly.

I also loved meeting fellow small business owners like , hearing about their journeys, and making genuine connections. That’s the know, like & trust principle in action.

And the presenter, Shavonnah Schreiber?! My sorority sister! Alpha Kappa Alpha women are EVERYWHERE — leading, teaching, inspiring. I love to see it!

Had a great time attending Network & Nourish luncheon this week.

I appreciated the opportunity to connect with other business owners and professionals who are building with intention and are open to collaboration and potential partnerships. Spaces like this are a reminder of how powerful it is to be in community with people who are thoughtful about where they’re headed and how they’re growing.

I’m always energized by rooms that bring together people who care about growing strong, well-positioned businesses and supporting one another along the way.

Grateful for the connections made and looking forward to staying connected.

Today is Data Privacy Day.

Most entrepreneurs and small businesses don’t think about privacy until something goes wrong—but by then, the damage is already done.

Privacy isn’t fear-based.
It’s foresight.

And for growing and emerging businesses, foresight is everything.

Smart businesses treat privacy as strategy, not an afterthought—because privacy done right protects more than data; it protects the business.

This is me at 19 years old.
Fresh out of my first year of college.
First time getting on a plane.
Stepping into the U.S. Air Force Reserves not quite knowing what was waiting for me on the other side.

Bright smile, sharp uniform, standing tall, even before I fully understood what it really meant to serve.

I looked confident in that picture, but whew! Those first few days? A different story. I was tired, overwhelmed, and scared. I remember thinking, “What have I gotten myself into?”

But somewhere in the middle of the early mornings, the drills, the marching, and the “figure it out and move” rhythm of it all… I found my footing.

Next thing you know, I was squad leader.

The military is where I first learned what leadership feels like—before the titles, before the career, before adulthood fully set in.

What I learned then has carried me every day since: Sometimes the things that scare you are the very things that reveal who you were always meant to be.

And here is my squad—young women from different cities, different backgrounds, and stories, all figuring out who we were becoming.

There was no room for division. No room for ego. No room for “us v. them.”

Just commitment, discipline, and a shared belief that we could accomplish more side-by-side than alone.

The uniform may be folded away, but the lessons are stitched into who I am.

To every Veteran, in every branch, past and present: Your service mattered them. It still matters now. I honor you.

On this Veteran’s Day, I honor every man and woman who served, in uniform, in community, in family, in sacrifice. Service takes many forms, and all deserve acknowledgement.

Happy Veteran’s Day!

What song or cadence still lives rent-free in your head? I’ll go first. Reveille! Blasting through the speakers every single morning. Listen, I jumped out of that bed like the building was under attack. Every. Time. No warning. No gentle wake-up. Just BAM—get up! Whew! The way my spirit would leave my body for a second.

I know I’m not the only one that still hears it.

Every Business is a Data Business
Cybersecurity isn’t about size. It’s about trust.

Small business myth: “I’m too small to be a target.”
Reality: Every business is a data business.

If you’re storing client information, taking payments, sending invoices, or even just emailing, you have data worth protecting.

October marks Cybersecurity Awareness Month, but here’s the truth: cybersecurity isn’t just about strong passwords or keeping hackers out. It’s about protecting what matters most — people, trust, and the businesses we’ve worked so hard to build.

Too often, cybersecurity is seen as a “tech problem.” But today, every industry is digital. Real estate transactions, fitness memberships, design projects, creative content, all rely on data and technology. That means every entrepreneur, no matter the size of their business, carries responsibility for protecting client information.

Cybersecurity is no longer optional. It’s a business survival issue. A data breach doesn’t just cost money — it can cost reputation, relationships, and opportunities.

This month is a reminder that protecting client information, setting smart business practices, and being intentional about data security are not just compliance checkboxes. They are acts of leadership. They are proof of professionalism. And ultimately, they are commitments to the clients who trust you with their business.

As you move through October, ask yourself:
💡 How am I protecting the data my business collects?
💡 What message does my business send about how I value the information my clients give me?

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing simple insights to help entrepreneurs and small business owners stay aware and stay protected. Because at the end of the day, people don’t just choose businesses they like. They choose businesses they trust.

Female entrepreneurs, are your contracts protecting your business or leaving gaps that cost you money?

On Saturday, November 22, 2025, I’ll be speaking at the Women’s Entrepreneurs Summit hosted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter in Houston.

Join me for The Contracts and Clauses That Keep Your Business Safe, where I’ll walk through the contracts every entrepreneur should have, the clauses that safeguard your brand, and the common mistakes new CEOs make that can cost them their coins.

This summit will bring together powerhouse female speakers and entrepreneurs, networking, business-building workshops, and real resources to help you take your business higher.

The best part—the Summit is free to attend! This is for my Boss Babes only; this is the one you don’t want to miss.

“Industry standards” sounds safe—until you realize it’s a moving target.

- A city updates building codes mid-project.
- Lenders tighten underwriting criteria halfway through a deal.
- An insurer raises liability coverage requirements overnight.
- A state amends its privacy law with immediate effect.
- Tariffs increase material costs across industries.

➡ Each of these changes can reset expectations instantly. If your contract promises compliance with undefined “industry standards,” you could be forced to absorb the costs.

⚠️ The Problem: Undefined standards = undefined risk.

➡️Not sure if your contracts are protecting you from moving goalposts? That’s what The Power Hour™ is for.

Grateful. Excited. Certified.

I am proud to share that I am now officially a NASM Certified Personal Trainer!

While this may seem far from the law, it’s deeply aligned with who I am as both an attorney and entrepreneur. At L. Renée Lowe, PLLC, I counsel fitness professionals, creatives, visionaries, and entrepreneurs on building their businesses. Now, as a certified professional in the fitness industry myself, I bring not only legal expertise but lived experience to the table.
I understand the challenges of balancing business, health, and purpose — and I know firsthand the importance of strong contracts, brand protection, and smart strategies when growing a vision.

Whether in the gym or in the boardroom, my mission remains the same: to empower professionals and entrepreneurs to build boldly and with confidence.

Friday filled my cup!

I had the privilege of attending the Smart CEO Summit 2025, hosted by my Soror (because let’s be real—Alpha Kappa Alpha women are everywhere🩷💚).

The Smart CEO Summit was more than a conference. It was an immersive experience—curated learning, strategic networking, and an ecosystem designed to help entrepreneurs remove barriers and elevate their businesses to new heights.

What uplifted me most was the wisdom shared by seasoned entrepreneurs, those who’ve walked the path and generously poured out their knowledge and lessons. I left with encouragement, actionable resources, and a renewed drive to keep building boldly.

Being in this room reminded that:
- When you step into the right rooms, doors open.
- As entrepreneurs, we rise higher when we rise together.
- And with faith and intention, the right people show up at the right time.

Thank you, Kyra, and the team for curating such an unforgettable experience.
