Giving back to the Houston community, one book at a time. 📚

Bracewell teamed up with the Asian Pacific American Law Student Associations at University of Houston Law Center and South Texas College of Law to sort and pack children’s books for Houston schools, shelters and community organizations.

Books Between Kids helps at-risk children build their own home libraries. Research shows that children growing up in low-income homes without books are less likely to complete a basic education than peers who have books available to them.

An evening for hope, purpose and memory.

We were proud to sponsor and attend Amazing Place’s “Amazing Dinner,” a night celebrating the organization’s mission to help people live fully, with hope and purpose, through a dementia diagnosis, caregiver challenges and breakthroughs in memory preservation.

Bracewell lawyers have provided pro bono legal services for Amazing Place for years on tax, corporate governance, labor and employment, AI usage and real estate matters.

Thank you, Amazing Place, for the work you do for Houston families.

Meet Tracey Moore, senior accounting manager at Bracewell. Tracey is a Bracewell boomerang who came back in 2019 after a few years away. Find out what drew her back, what it's like having an identical twin sister named Stacey and the most adventurous thing she's done outside the office.

Why Bracewell? I am what is known as a Boomerang employee. I joined Bracewell in 2008, departed in 2012, and was pleased to return in 2019, drawn back by the firm's exceptional people and culture. 🪃 🤝 🏢

Hidden talent or unique trait? While I do not have a "hidden talent" of sorts, I do have something fairly unique about me. I am an identical twin. When people learn that I have an identical twin, they often confuse us—starting with our rhyming names, Stacey and Tracey. After meeting her, they find it even harder to tell us apart. I have shown coworkers and friends a photo of us, and despite their confidence, they almost always guess incorrectly. It is quite comical. 👯‍♀️ 📸 😄

Favorite place to be outside of the office? I am married with two wonderful boys, and my favorite place to be is wherever we can enjoy time together—watching LSU football, cheering them on at their school games, traveling or simply relaxing at home. They often inspire me to step outside my comfort zone. In March, we visited the small town of Sámara Beach in Costa Rica, where we went zip-lining and tried an activity that involved plunging headfirst from a tree. I had not planned to do it, but my boys would never have let me live it down if I had backed out, so I took the plunge. 🏈 🌴 🪂

Yesterday, we welcomed students from SMU Law for our annual Mahjong Monday. 🀄

The evening kicked off with a cocktail hour before moving into a mahjong lesson, where students learned the game while connecting with our attorneys and getting to know the firm.

Bracewell was in the room at Climate Week New York last week, joining leaders from business, government and finance for some of the biggest energy conversations of the year.

Our lawyers hosted, spoke and shared insights on where capital is flowing, closing the water finance gap and fast-tracking advanced nuclear. Energy demand is rising, investors want shovel-ready projects, and new licensing pathways are opening faster routes to approval.
