But God…💫

This month The Hay Law Group celebrates 13 years in business! 🤯 Honestly, I never reflected or celebrated our yearly milestones because my concerned has simply been to survive. Make it to the next month…the next year. 🥵😅

13 years later, I’m better than I was but I’m also still figuring it out lol. I didn’t understand the weight and responsibility of entrepreneurship at that time. I’ve made my fair share of mistakes BUT I’m still here. 🙌🏽👏🏽

Today I’m traveling to New York for orientation having been accepted into Goldman Sachs’ One Million Black Women - Black in Business Program. 🙌🏽 🍎Over the next few months I’ve been given the opportunity to learn, stretch, and improve my entrepreneurial skills at a level I’ve never been afforded.

I know the Firm is about to experience wonderful things in the next season and this is preparation for that elevation✨. I’ll see ya’ll on the other side! 🤓

Cheers to 13 years of running a business and persistently crafting the career of my dreams my way!! 🙏🏽🙌🏽🥂

Spent last week in ATL at the State of the Industry event—great conversations, meaningful connections, and a lot of insight into where things are headed. Highly recommend making space for events like this.

Made a quick 24-hour trip to LA for the Institute on Entertainment Law & Business 🎬✨ Totally worth it. The conversations here feel like you’re getting a glimpse into where the industry is headed, right at the source. The networking was incredible—already planning to be back next year. Highly recommend if you’re in the space.

🎬🎶 Exciting news for my fellow entertainment law friends — the 35th Annual Entertainment Law Institute is almost here!

Whether you’re a law student curious about breaking into the industry, a new attorney eager to grow your network, or a seasoned pro staying sharp on the latest trends, this conference is for you.

📍 Happening at the AT&T Hotel & Conference Center in Austin — with the option to join virtually if you can’t make it in person.

It’s one of my favorite events of the year for learning, connecting, and getting inspired about the future of entertainment law.

✨ Hope to see you there! UT Law CLE

A collective promised your athlete the bag… then backed out? You’re not alone.Collectives often make verbal promises—but if it’s not in the contract, there’s no guarantee. I’ve seen athletes commit to schools or deals expecting NIL money that never comes. No contract. No payment. No protection. Before your athlete commits to anything, let me review the deal and make sure it’s written, enforceable, and fair.Let me ink your deal and protect your future. Heard the term “sports collective” and not sure what it means? You’re not alone.A collective is a group—often boosters or alumni—who pool money to offer NIL deals to college athletes. Sounds great, right? But here’s the catch: they might control the contract terms, limit your brand deals, or lock you into exclusivity without fully explaining it.Before you sign with a collective, let me ink your deal and make sure it’s your brand they’re building—not theirs. If your student-athlete is thinking about transferring schools, here’s what they need to know: Not all NIL deals transfer with them.

⚠️ Some contracts are tied to the school, team, or local brand partnerships—so if they leave, the deal might end.

⚠️ Other contracts may lock them in, even after they switch teams.

Before making a move, make sure your NIL contract doesn’t leave you exposed.

Let me ink your deal and help you transfer your talent—and your NIL bag—the right way.

Yes, your school can block your NIL deal—if it conflicts with school sponsors or uses logos, jerseys, or facilities without permission. Just because your athlete gets an offer doesn’t mean they can automatically say yes. Most schools have NIL rules in place—and violating them could cost your child their eligibility and the bag.Let me ink your deal and help you stay compliant, protected, and paid.DM me or click the link in bio to schedule a contract review.

Can a brand drop your child’s NIL deal if they get injured or stop performing?Yes—if the contract allows it.Many NIL agreements include performance or morals clauses that let the brand cancel the deal without warning. If your student-athlete isn’t protected in writing, one bad game—or one mistake—could cost them their entire NIL check.Let me ink your deal and make sure your family’s not left unprotected.Click the link in bio to schedule a NIL contract review.
