The team keeps growing! We are happy to announce that we have added a new paralegal to our Fort Worth office. Krystal Brown brings experience in Estate Planning as well as knowledge regarding Personal Injury law. At DRL, she will focus on Estate Planning, Probate, and Litigation.

Krystal spends her free time in the gym, playing the piano, and writing poetry. We are thrilled to have her on the DRL team and have already been encouraged by her desire to help others.

We’re excited to announce the promotion of Nya Mack to Strategic Projects Associate at Doré Rothberg Law!

Since joining the firm as a legal assistant late last year, Nya has consistently gone above and beyond in every aspect of his role. Along the way, he demonstrated a strong interest in developing technology and a unique ability to think critically about how firms can work smarter and more efficiently.

In this new position, Nya will support strategic initiatives focused on workflow improvement, process organization, operational efficiency, and the practical integration of AI and legal technology tools across the firm. For our firm, innovation is not about replacing the human element that makes legal services effective; instead, we aim to simply streamline repetitive processes and improve consistency.

Representatives of The Texas A&M University System have formally objected to the alleged unauthorized use of the Texas A&M University name and trademarks by a Muslim education entity in North Texas, which is branding itself as “TexAM University.” The Texas A&M University System has issued a cease-and-desist letter demanding that the entity immediately stop using names, marks, domains, and other branding elements that infringe upon or otherwise dilute Texas A&M’s trademarks and brand.

Monitoring and issuing cease-and-desist letters is an essential part of protecting an institution’s name and trademarks. This is because not enforcing trademark registrations can result in losing protection entirely. The use of “TexAM” or “Texas AM University” and other similar variations can cause confusion and mislead the public to mistakenly believe the entity is affiliated or endorsed by the Texas A&M University System. Trademark owners like The Texas A&M University System must act to protect the value of their trademarks and branding.
