Saturday night, Judge Pat Gallagher was presented with the Judge Charles Murray Award from the Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association.

No judge is more committed to giving people a jury trial than Judge Gallagher. When he was a lawyer, Judge Gallagher tried over 300 jury trials on both sides of the docket. In one of those trials, I was on the other side. That’s where I learned up close Judge Gallagher’s legal skill and human decency.

Well deserved, Judge Gallagher.

FUN FACT: In college, Judge Gallagher was an extra bike rider in the Oscar nominated film Breaking Away. 🎥 🚲

Hearing on trucking companies’ motions for summary judgment in our case for our client who was seriously injured by an 18 wheeler on I-20.

The Judge denied their motions, giving our client the green light to present her case to a jury.

Scheduling conference in Wise County this morning.

Jason handles cases in Tarrant and Dallas Counties, but he also handles cases in smaller counties too like Johnson, Parker and Wise Counties where he has obtained verdicts for clients. People on juries in smaller counties seem to be connected to their neighbors who end up in court.

Tuesday Feb 24, turn out the lights at 8 pm for 10 minutes to remember and honor Ukraine’s heroic defense against the Russian invasion which began 4 years ago.

Jason’s maternal grandfather immigrated from present day Ukraine in 1912. Maybe that’s where Jason gets some of his fight.

This week we filed a petition for writ of certiorari withe United States Supreme Court on behalf of a disabled veteran who asserts he was terminated for reporting his supervisor for having a tirade over him receiving VA benefits, calling him a cripple and a criminal.

The appeal would resolve a “circuit split” among the courts of appeal across the country.

Federal court jury in Fort Worth returns verdict Former Tarrant Sherriff’s Deputy awarding $625k.

The jury found he was retaliated against for filing discrimination complaints. Sheriff's office says it "stands by the actions of our office."
