CELEBRATING 3 BIG WINS THIS WEEK WITH OUR FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY, AMBER SKINNER!!!:

We helped a family obtain guardianship of a young man with a bright future, secured the dismissal of an order of protection so a mother could reunite with her children, and successfully contested an unnecessary guardianship to ensure a capable adult retained her independence and autonomy.

Three very different cases, but each one was a powerful reminder of why this work matters. ⚖️

Client was facing 20 years on a trumped-up residential burglary charge. The matter stemmed from an exaggerated argument between husband and wife.

This was probably the weakest burglary case I’ve seen in my 15 years of practice and we’re very happy that our client can now move on with his life. ⚖️

We were able to get a Not Guilty on our client’s DWI charge yesterday and it’s not often we get to bring up the defense of involuntary intoxication.

It’s not great practice for a hospital to release an elderly, handicapped patient to drive himself home while he’s on pain meds, etc. Very happy about this outcome for our client. ⚖️

CASE DISMISSED!!! We’re very happy for Abigail who had her DWI charge dismissed in court today.

Police officers set up a sobriety checkpoint pulling over concertgoers as they left a crowded music festival. Thankfully it takes more than smelling like ma*****na from being at a concert to be guilty of DWI. Now Abigail can put this behind her and move on with her life. ⚖️
