It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Joel Price. He went peacefully early this morning and is no longer in pain. Joel is loved and we are already missing him!

His law office will be closed this week. Phone calls will be returned next week.

One thing I enjoy about working for Joel is that we love our animals! If either of us finds a stray cat or dog, it's rescued. If I find a stray cat, I'll call Joel and he's happy to take it in. I came in one morning to find a little orange kitten in the bushes. Joel coaxed him out and took him to the veterinarian, then home. Parker has been with him since.

Which leads me to my story. On Tuesday, I had to say goodbye to my beloved black Labrador, Puppy. He was my best friend and soulmate of 10 years. Yesterday, Joel wore his dog-themed dress tie in honor of Puppy, and today he brought his dog, Jezzy (in this photo), to work with him. Jezzy looks so much like my Puppy!! A sympathy card and personal note was left for me this morning by Jim Robb, who always enjoyed seeing and greeting Puppy when he came to visit the office while I worked.

K-9 Officer Kina has been located, treated at the local Veterinary facility, and is home recovering. She had two entry/exit bullet wounds and was mildly dehydrated. The bullet fragments were left as they may cause more damage being removed as of now; possibly remove them in the future if need be. Positive thoughts and prayers regarding Kina, have worked!! We continue to send positive thoughts and prayers to the family of Sebastian County Sheriff's Deputy, Cpl. Bill "Coop" Cooper.
