BizWest reported on Cannon Law's new Loveland office, the firm's second location in Northern Colorado.

The storefront office at 102 E. First St., Suite 150 joins the firm's original Fort Collins location on Maple Street. Free consultations are available at both.

Founding Partner Sam Cannon said, "Loveland has long been an important part of our client community" and that having a local presence there makes the firm more accessible to the people who turn to it during the hardest moments of their lives.

ICYMI: Denver7 (KMGH-TV) spoke with Founding Partner Sam Cannon on a recent lawsuit filed by Sam’s client; a Colorado family who suffered carbon monoxide poisoning at a Western Slope hotel.

“This is an issue of a failed swimming pool heater. The vent rusted through, and our client's family of four were pretty badly poisoned. They had no warning. There were no detectors in their room,” said Sam.

Sam highlights how this case is evident of a growing gap in Colorado law as he discusses the unclear parameters surrounding hotels and motels protecting guests from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Denver7 spoke with Founding Partner Sam Cannon on a recent lawsuit in which Sam is representing a Colorado family who suffered carbon monoxide poisoning at a Western Slope hotel.

The lawsuit alleges there were no carbon monoxide detectors within the room where the family was staying at the time. Sam highlights how this case is evident of a growing gap in Colorado law as he discusses the unclear parameters surrounding hotels and motels protecting guests from carbon monoxide poisoning.

"If I'm sat here as someone who does a lot of this work, who's experienced in these cases, and I can't tell you exactly what the law is, it's pretty tough to expect hotel guests to be aware as well,” said Sam.

Sam discusses why this latest case highlights the importance of landlord accountability and protecting tenants from preventable safety hazards.

Founding Partner Sam Cannon was featured in the American Association for Justice's July issue of Trial Magazine with an article about how the rise of corporate and investment-group ownership in multifamily housing is reshaping premises liability litigation.

In his piece, Sam breaks down the layered ownership structures, sponsors, investors, special purpose entities, and management companies, that large investment firms use when acquiring apartment complexes, and explains how plaintiff attorneys can cut through those structures to identify the right defendants, establish what owners knew, and prove liability when a tenant is injured.

Summer is peak riding season in Colorado, and the roads can be unforgiving when drivers aren't watching for motorcyclists. Riders have the same rights as anyone else on the road, but far less protection when something goes wrong.

At Cannon Law, we've secured results for motorcycle accident victims and know how to take on the insurance companies that try to minimize these claims.
