In case you missed it, Sam Cannon spoke with KUNC in February after OSHA issued citations and nearly $250,000 in proposed fines following the deaths of six workers who were killed by hydrogen sulfide exposure at a Weld County dairy in 2025.
Toxic gas exposure is not just a winter problem. Hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, and other dangerous gases can reach deadly levels any time of year, and when employers or property owners fail to protect the people in their care, there must be consequences.
Sam is representing families of victims alongside attorney Ryan Spear, who noted that no fine can compare to the loss of life. For these families, the priority is accountability and making sure something like this never happens again.
