A will directs how your property is distributed after death. In North Carolina, it must go through probate, a court-supervised process.

A revocable living trust can manage assets during your lifetime and allow properly titled assets to pass outside of probate. It may also provide continuity if you become incapacitated.

The question is not whether you need more documents. The question is whether your plan aligns with your goals, family structure, and long-term vision.
