Part 2 of my 96-year-old client’s deposition concluded today.

After nearly 6 hours of testimony, he is finally done. He was a champion, and we did everything possible to protect him throughout the process.

What’s troubling is that Edison chose to interrogate him for that long, even though he clearly stated they could speak directly with his daughter regarding the lawsuit and damages. At that point, is this a standard deposition—or harassment?

Yesterday, KTLA reported that Edison International’s CEO, Pedro Pizarro, publicly acknowledged that Edison’s equipment likely caused the fire. That admission is significant.

Because in court, Edison is saying something very different—arguing they are not at fault and attempting to get dismissed from the lawsuit entirely.

Publicly, they strike a conciliatory tone to gain favor and encourage enrollment in their Fast Pay program. In court, they refuse accountability.

It feels like the arsonist trying to become the firefighter.

So I’ll ask plainly:
Would you trust Edison?

These families deserve full accountability, not a discounted settlement designed to clear cases fast.

Tomorrow, my client's story becomes part of the official record. Because the courthouse is the one place where victims can tell the truth — and where SCE has to listen.
