Labor Day weekend is around the corner and we have a list of ways to spend time outdoors and with family across North Georgia.
Mountain Heritage Festival in downtown Blairsville runs Saturday and Sunday, September 5–6, from 9am–5pm. Expect mountain arts and crafts, quilting and spinning demonstrations, gold panning, and kids' activities centered around Union County's historic log cabins. Free admission. Visit Blairsville GA
Folk Pottery & Arts Festival at the Sautee Nacoochee Center takes place Saturday, September 5, from 10am–4pm, with 55+ artists, pottery and blacksmithing demonstrations, live old-time music, and food trucks. Also free. Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia
Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds Rodeo in Hiawassee runs Saturday and Sunday, September 5–6. Gates open at 6pm, with the rodeo kicking off at 8pm - bucking horses, bulls, and top contestants from across the country. Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds
