Meet Hannah 🙌

Hannah brings a positive attitude to the office every day, genuinely enjoys helping others, and is always willing to jump in wherever needed. She understands that working with lawyers can sometimes feel stressful, so she prioritizes making people feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door or pick up the phone.

Hannah has been Courtney's legal assistant for years. When asked to describe her role in one sentence, she said it is to “keep Courtney in line.” Honestly, we couldn’t agree more 😄

6 months ago, we opened the doors at 217 Law 🎉

From day one, the goal has been to make the legal process less intimidating and more manageable by giving honest and realistic advice, communicating well, being authentic, and working hard to achieve great results for our clients.

Over the last 6 months, we have had the opportunity to put that into practice by helping good people through difficult situations. Whether it is a car accident, work injury, criminal defense, or family law matter, being trusted during some of the hardest moments in a person’s life is something we do not take lightly.

To everybody who has trusted us, referred someone our way, followed along, supported us, or cheered us on over these first 6 months, thank you. We genuinely appreciate it.

Meet Corinne 🙌

If you’ve called 217 Law, sent us an email, or stopped by the office, there’s a good chance you’ve already interacted with Corinne.

She helps keep cases moving, stays in touch with clients, and helps make sure people feel informed throughout the process. One thing that stands out about her is how much she genuinely cares. Clients are often going through one of the most stressful situations of their lives, and having someone who is responsive, compassionate, and organized makes a real difference.

Outside of helping keep everything on track at the office, Corinne enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, raising chickens, and making the occasional office humor TikTok appearance 🎥😄

On Friday, we had the opportunity to join other professionals at Meridian for their career fair.

The students came loaded with excellent questions. We discussed what it’s actually like to be a lawyer, what the future of our profession looks like, and how much it means when someone trusts us to handle what is often the most stressful issue in their life. We also shared the role we play in helping clients navigate injury claims, criminal charges, and difficult family situations.

We appreciate the opportunity to spend time with such a thoughtful and engaged group of future leaders 🙌

Congrats to Fallon on a successful jury trial! ⚖️

Her client was accused of a crime but maintained his innocence from the start. After hearing all of the evidence, the jury returned a not-guilty verdict in his favor. We’re very happy he’s able to move forward with this behind him.

At 217 Law, we don’t recommend plea deals or settlements just to get a case resolved unless it’s truly in our client’s best interest. Every case is prepared for trial, so when the right move is to fight, we’re ready. 💪
