While immediate past chairman of Legalink, Chris maintains an active litigation practice representing Fortune 500 companies, global financial institutions and high-net-worth individuals in complex disputes across the United States and abroad. He recently represented a Singapore-based technology company in a high-profile licensing dispute against an iconic American brand and a Chinese entity in multi-million-dollar bankruptcy proceedings in Houston. Internationally, he led a sophisticated arbitration before the London Court of International Arbitration involving cross-border fraud and contract claims between a Bahrain-based energy company and a Panama-based technology developer.

His current docket includes tandem litigation in Texas and Armenia arising from the sale of a multi-million-dollar West Texas oil and gas technology company involving overseas operations. Bell Nunnally is excited to welcome four outstanding law students to our 2026 summer associate program: Bella Avitia, Barrett Grubbs, Jonathan Naylor and Genesis Paita!

Bella and Barrett will join the firm’s transactional section, while Jonathan and Genesis will work with the litigation section.

Bella is a rising 2L at Texas A&M University School of Law and previously served as both a research assistant and teaching assistant at The University of Texas at Austin and the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs.

Barrett is a rising 3L at Texas A&M University School of Law, where he serves as executive editor of the Journal of Property Law and as a board member of the Tech Law Initiative. He is also a research assistant and a member of the Business Law Society.

Jonathan is a rising 3L at Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, where he serves as an Associate Editor for their Law Review. He has gained substantial judicial experience through externships with the Honorable Charles R. Eskridge III of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the Honorable James A.
