According to attorneys representing State Farm customers, the documents describe an initiative that allegedly reduced claim payments by $1.4 billion in its first year alone. They allege claims were outright denied 39% of the time.

They allege adjusters were discouraged from approving too many roofs. And they allege the same playbook was applied to water losses, fire losses, and auto losses.

State Farm disputes these allegations and says it has paid more than $1 billion to Oklahoma customers for wind and hail damage.
