Today we’re celebrating Jack on his graduation from law school! It’s hard to believe how fast the time has gone—though we’re sure it may not have felt quite as fast for Jack through all the long nights of studying, exams, and hard work along the way.

We couldn’t be more proud of everything he’s accomplished to reach this milestone. Congratulations, Jack, on an incredible achievement and the start of an exciting new chapter!

Wishing you the very best as you begin studying for the bar exam. We know you’ll do great things, and we’re looking forward to officially having you back in the office once the bar is behind you.

Excited to welcome Jonathon "Jack" Sorrell to the Bratton Law Team for the summer!

Jack Sorrell, born and raised in Warsaw, OH, is a rising second-year student at Capital University Law School. He and his family are deeply integrated in the Coshocton community from his Coshocton-family roots and his family’s business, Sorrell’s on The Square. His educational path started with graduating from River View High School in 2020. From there, he attended Capital University to achieve a business management degree and graduated Cum Laude in 2023. Now, after completing his first year as a Capital Law Student, he continues his education throughout the summer at Bratton Law. He is set to graduate law school in 2026. Besides his academic career, he also works at Sorrell’s on The Square as a manager, cook, and any other way he can help. He enjoys his three dogs at home – Pauli, Luke, and Jersey. He also enjoys playing guitar in his free time.

I always tell my clients, “You have to take care of you, in order to keep taking care of [your parent/your spouse/your child/etc].” Being a caretaker can be both emotionally and physically draining.
