Eames Law Group has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in the Cook County Law Division on behalf of a deceased veteran who was struck and killed by an automobile in Hillside, Illinois. As reported by ABC 7 Chicago, Fox 32 Chicago, NBC 5 Chicago, and CBS News, the Defendant driver initially struck a police squad car that was sitting at a red light before leaving the roadway and entering a Walgreens parking lot where the driver struck our deceased client. This past month at the Illinois State Bar Association's Annual Meeting in St. Louis, Brent Eames was appointed to serve as the Vice-Chair of the Tort Law Section Council for the ISBA. This is the Section Council for the practice of personal injury law across the State of Illinois. Additionally, Brent was reappointed to serve on the Section Council for the ISBA Workers’ Compensation Law Section. We are proud to announce that Attorney Olga Beznashchuk has once again been appointed to several leadership positions within the Illinois State Bar Association! This year, Olga will serve on the ISBA Standing Committee on Women and the Law; the Diversity Leadership Council; and the Section Council for the ISBA Workers’ Compensation Law Section! An organization of more than 28,000 members, the ISBA engages in many important activities on behalf of the profession — among them proposing and shaping legislation, educating the public, and supporting the courts and the rule of law. Brent Eames spent the weekend celebrating Northern Illinois University College of Law’s graduating class of 2026 as a member of the platform party! Brent serves the Vice-Chair of the NIU College of Law Board of Visitors. One of the goals of the BOV is to provide a linkage between the college and the Illinois legal community and develop mechanisms for the interchange of ideas between the college and the legal profession.
