HERBERT LAW OBTAINED $400,000.00 SETTLEMENT IN A FEDERAL CIVIL RIGHTS CASE FOR A YOUNG CHILD AGAINST THE CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOL

A 9-year-old boy sought refuge from consistent bullying, and he implored the help of the executives at Fiske Elementary. His pleas were ignored and became a source of aggravation to the school administration, including the principal. The young man was thrown out of school and into the cold by the principal and her minions while wearing only his school polo. Herbert Law investigated and caught the school in a web of lies and deception. To avoid scrutiny, the CPS executives devised a systematic plan to cover up their wrongs and set out to destroy the credibility and spirit of one of their 4th-grade students. Justice prevailed, and the child is thriving at a different school. Moreover, CPS removed the executives from their respective positions. Hopefully, this abuse will never happen to a young CPS student in the future. A 9-year-old boy sought refuge from ongoing bullying and appealed for help from the administrators at Fiske Elementary. Proud victory for our client, a decorated cook county sheriff who was charged with multiple felonies after being caught on video striking a dangerous inmate. All charges dropped day of trial. Use of force never looks pretty on video but it does not mean criminal. Law enforcement must be allowed to use appropriate force without the fear of being charged with a crime. Cook County Sheriff's Office (Official) should immediately reinstate R.S and give him years of back pay with interest. Finally the sheriff should issue a public apology and fire the spineless use of force experts who were afraid to opine on the reasonableness of his actions and chose the easier decision albeit the wrong one

At Candelight Vigil PPO MaJarro holding a memorial of my namesake & my dad’s 1st partner, Daniel Quinnan who was shot and killed as he responded to a robbery at a bar around Roosevelt and Halsted on September 19, 1966. I know Daniel by stories from my dad & and Quinnan family who I had the honor to meet. My dad said he was a true gentleman but one of the toughest guys he met. His picture corroborates that. IL App Ct makes detaining people more difficult in People v. Farris, 2024 IL app. 240745. While on bond def. violated bond conditions by visiting unauthorized persons outside of those allowed in the order. Def. was on bond after being charged with 3 felonies class x, 3, 4. The Appellate Court reversed & held violation of bond did not warrant detention
