plicated transactions. At The May Group, we see things a little differently. For us, the definition of real estate is people. The buildings and land, the buying and selling, and all the thousands of details involved in every real estate transaction are like the pieces of an intricate jigsaw puzzle. Poured out of the box onto a table they seem impossibly complicated. Putting them together is challenging and occasionally frustrating, but also infinitely satisfying. Abby recently spent three days wandering the Cotswolds solo and completely fell in love with the English countryside. We had so much fun helping Erika & Connor find their beautiful new home in Lexington as they traded city life for the suburbs, giving their growing family a little more room to spread out.

One of the best parts of the journey was watching little Easton grow from showing to showing. We’re pretty sure he’ll be ready to join the team as our newest assistant in just a few years. 😉

One of my favorite stops in Maine this weekend was visiting our former client, Lucy, at Mopsey Shop in Biddeford. 🧵🌸

Some relationships have a way of coming full circle.

Years ago, Lucy was a real estate client. Over time, she became a friend. Recently, after returning to needlepoint, I've had the joy of reconnecting with her in a whole new way.

Lucy is the owner of Mopsey Needlepoint in Biddeford, Maine, a wonderful needlepoint shop named for her great-grandmother, Mopsey, who taught her to stitch when she was just six years old.

My own grandmother, Gummy, taught me to needlepoint when I was little, and returning to it all these years later has been unexpectedly meaningful. There is something wonderfully grounding about creating something slowly, by hand, stitch by stitch. It reminds us of the people who first placed a needle in our hands and the traditions they passed along.

If you find yourself in southern Maine, I hope you'll stop in to see Lucy. Whether you're an experienced stitcher or just curious, she's created one of those rare places that feels welcoming the moment you walk through the door.

Sometimes the best connections find their way back to us when we least expect them. ❤️
