🙏 DON’T MISS WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE.

It’s easy to spend so much time thinking about what’s next that we forget to appreciate what’s now.

The next goal.
The next opportunity.
The next house.
The next accomplishment.
The next answered prayer.

There’s nothing wrong with dreaming bigger, setting goals, or praying for what’s ahead.

But here’s something I need to remind myself of sometimes...

Some of the things I have TODAY are things I once PRAYED for.
❤️ The people sitting around the table.
🏡 The roof over our heads.
🙏 The prayers God has already answered.
☀️ Another day we’ve been given.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The people we get to do life with.
🌱 Even the seasons that challenged us and helped us grow.

Sometimes we’re so busy asking God, “What’s next?” that we forget to stop and say...

“Thank You for what You’ve already done.”
That doesn’t mean we stop dreaming.

It doesn’t mean we stop working toward the next goal.

And it doesn’t mean we stop praying for what’s ahead.

It simply means we recognize the blessings along the way.

💚 SUNDAY REMINDER:

Don’t become so focused on where you’re going that you forget to thank God for where He’s already brought you.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
— Psalm 107:1

Before tomorrow gets here with its schedules, responsibilities, goals, and to-do lists, take a moment today to look around.

🌅 SUNDAY RESET

We spend a lot of life looking ahead. The next goal. The next opportunity. The next closing. The next event. The next big thing.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting more or working toward what’s next. But sometimes we get so focused on where we’re going that we forget to appreciate where God has us right now.

Think about it—some of what you have today is something you once prayed for. 🙏
So today…

❤️ Give your family the best of you, not just what’s left of you.
🙏 Thank God for the prayers He’s already answered.
☕ Slow down and enjoy the ordinary moments.
🌿 Appreciate this season before it becomes a memory.

You can be ambitious and grateful.
You can work toward tomorrow and enjoy today.
You can pray for the next door to open while thanking God for the room you’re already standing in.
Don’t rush the season you’re in.
There may be more blessings in it than you realize. ❤️

😂 HOUSE HUNTING TRANSLATOR
If you've ever bought a house—or helped someone look for one—you already know that sometimes what we SAY and what we really MEAN are two completely different things. 🤣🏡
Allow me to translate...
🔨 “It just needs a little updating.”
Translation: We're about to spend the next three weekends at Lowe's. 😂
🛋️ “This room is a little smaller than I expected.”
Translation: There is absolutely nowhere for my giant sectional to go.
🎨 “Paint is easy to change.”
Translation: Why is EVERY room a different color?! 👀
🚿 “The bathroom has character.”
Translation: That tile has seen some things. 🤣
🌳 “The yard has potential.”
Translation: I'm going to need a mower...and possibly professional help.
But then there's the one every REALTOR® loves to hear...
❤️ “I don't know what it is...this one just FEELS right.”
Translation:
🏡 WE MAY HAVE JUST FOUND THE ONE.
And that's one of my favorite things about house hunting.
You can make the wish list.
You can study the pictures.
You can compare square footage.
You can analyze every feature.
But every once in a while, you walk through the door and something just clicks. 🔑

🏡 WHAT MAKES A HOUSE FEEL LIKE HOME?
It’s probably not the square footage.
It’s not the countertops.
It’s not the number of bedrooms.
And it’s definitely not something you’ll find in the MLS description.
Sometimes it’s the little things...
☕ That favorite spot where you drink your morning coffee.
🍳 Everyone somehow ending up in the kitchen.
🛋️ Movie nights piled up on the couch.
🐾 The sound of paws running across the floor.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family and friends gathered around the table.
🔥 A quiet evening with nowhere else you need to be.
❤️ The memories attached to rooms that wouldn't mean anything to anyone else.
Because there’s a difference between finding a HOUSE you love and creating a place that truly feels like HOME.
A house gives you the walls, the rooms, and the address.
Life fills in everything else. ❤️
And over time, the scratches, the laughter, the celebrations, the ordinary Tuesday nights, the holidays, and all those little moments become part of the story.
